St. Rita’s Women’s Group

The next meeting of the St. Rita’s Women’s Group is Saturday, August 21th, after the 9:00 AM Mass. We will not have a book to read beforehand, as we have in the past. But I would recommend, if you did not have a chance before our last meeting, to read Dr. Alice von Hildebrand’s The Privilege of Being a Woman. It has many good and profound ideas in it that make for great conversation! Single women of the parish, ages 18-35, are invited to join the St. Rita women’s group, which is dedicated to formation in the faith through study, prayer, discussion and friendship. We look forward to seeing you then!

Parish Picnic

All Saints will have a Parish Picnic on Sunday, Sept.12th starting around 1:30pm. It will be held at Weaver Lake Picnic Pavilion in Maple Grove, which is approximately 25 minutes drive from the church. RSVP, volunteer signups and more details will be sent out through Flocknote.

Sister Maria Gratia of the Holy Eucharist

On Thursday, August 5th, the Feast of Our Lady of the Snows, Sister Maria Gratia of the Holy Eucharist, one of the Filiae, will make her temporary profession of vows at the church of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Please remember her in your prayers. She will be away on retreat, these days: when you see her again, she will be wearing the navy-blue veil of the professed!

3rd-Annual Choir Camp

The 3rd-Annual Choir Camp will take place from Monday, August 2nd – Wednesday, August 4th from 9:30 AM to Noon. (We will not sing on Thursday, the 5th on account of the Profession of Vows and Mass happening down at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in LaCrosse, Wisconsin). We will then sing a High Mass in honor of the Feast of the Transfiguration on Friday, August 6th. (The children should arrive at 5:30 PM pre-Mass rehearsal that day. Pizza will be served after Mass. All children, ages 8 – 17, are welcome; please bring a 3-ring binder (black is best) and a water bottle. Snacks will be served on Monday – Wednesday.
