FAQs
What happens if we get part of the money for Option 2 but not all of it?
If the donations fall between Option 1 and Option 2we will adjust the plans.
If we have enough for Option 1 plus $100,000we will build Option 1 with a choir room/classroom but no convent space.
If we have enough for Option 1 plus $250,000we will build option 1 plus a convent space but no choir room/classroom.
Option 2 has both the convent space and choir room/classroom.
Abasementoptionmayalso be considered to add potential space for growth, dependingon the level of donations.
What happens if we get part of the funds for Option 3 but not all of it?
Option 3 is an all or nothing option. Either we have the full amount, or we will build the best combination of Option 1 or Option 2, with a basement if funds allow. If people donate over and above what is required for Option 2, the last donors will have an option of a refund, if they wish it.
When will we build?
The fundraiser will end on June 26th.After this we will hire our architect, Mr. Ron Brenner, to do all the construction documents. This will take four or six months. After this we can break ground but if the ground is frozenwe likely have towait until the Spring 2023.
What will the classroom be used for?
Classrooms are multi-use spaces.Smaller gatherings, meetings, classes for the confirmation or first Communion children, choir practice, servers practice, a place for kids to hang out, a place for the smaller groups to meet so they are not dwarfed in the larger gathering space, these and many other uses come to mind.
What is the parking situation?
The parking lot currently holds 33 cars.If we build Option 1 or 3we will have 12 spaces left, four of which will be handicap spaces. If we build Option 2 there will be five parking spaces and four of which will be handicap. The school across the street does have parking that we can use when the school is not in session.
What is the bathroom situation?
We are unable to fit more bathrooms inside the church so we will add great bathrooms to the parish center in a location that is closest to the sidewalk to the church.
Will the building look exactly like these pictures?
The drawings that we are presenting are approximate. It is to be expected that the floorplan, roof design, interior décor etc., will change somewhat as we refine the plans.
How can I share what is most important to me about a parish center?
