An artist has been commissioned to paint and decorate the Perpetual Help chapel in the church; a recent (unsolicited) donation has already paid for the work. The four-week project will begin this week and should be completed by the end of August. During that time, the votive candles will be in the left side alcove together with the images of Our Lady and St. Rita. The decoration of the chapel is intended as a gift to Our Lady of Perpetual Help for the many favors received over the years (there has been a long-standing devotion to her since the founding of the parish in 1916), and also to ask her for the needed funds for the construction of a new parish hall (with more bathrooms).
